2013 ASA STAMPED BATS BANNED IN FOND DU LAC SOFTBALL
It regrets me to inform you all that Fond du Lac Softball is imposing a ban on
ALL BATS THAT HAVE THE 2013 ASA STAMP pictured below
The issue comes down to PLAYER SAFETY!
It is very unfortunate that we did not receive this news until now but the fact remains the same.
It is important to know that this is a ONE YEAR BAN.
In 2014, Fond du Lac Softball will be changing to the new ASA approved 52 COR 300 Compression ball,
which is what those bats were certified for.
That will make all of the current balls obsolete, (44 COR 375 Compression).
We have tried everything in our power to prevent this but unfortunately, this is our only solution.
This ban is Not an ASA ban, it is strictly for use in Fond du Lac.
FSI, along with the Fond du Lac Recreation Department, feel very strongly that this is what is best for
Fond du Lac Softball at this time.
If you are found using one of these bats in Fond du Lac Softball, you will be subject to a one year suspension in all league and tournament play.
