We have a full tournament for the Early Bird.  Here are the opening games and locations for teams who are playing.

Out of Town teams: Please be sure to arrive early. Your bats will need to be tested and bear the FSI 2012 sticker before being allowed in a game.

Due to low registrations for the Women’s Early Bird, their Women’s Early Bird tournament scheduled to be held on May 12 & 13th has been cancelled this year.

This has the side effect of freeing up one of the diamonds on Softball Island.

The Men’s Early Bird is now a 14 team Men’s 3 Game Guarantee that will be run on Saturday only. There are only a few spots left, so get your registrations in ASAP.

Beer prices at the concession stand to open the 2012 season will be $6 a pitcher.

If you want to keep the beer prices low, we need your help.  Return your empty beer pitchers! If the beer pitchers are not returned, we will begin charging a deposit fee to help cover the costs of replacing pitchers. 

We don’t want to charge a deposit, and we are sure you don’t want to have to pay one, so please return your empty beer pitchers!

The Fond du Lac Rec Department posted the team schedules online. You can find them here

I talked to the Rec Department today.  The team schedules will be posted on www.fdlrecdept.com sometime next week. As soon as they are posted, I will put a link to them on the FondDuLacSoftball.com.

Paper copies of the league schedules were passed out during the Managers Meeting.  Please contact your team manager to find out when and where your first games are.

The FSI board members were out on Softball Island on Saturday cleaning up the park, making repairs, and getting ready for the season.

Rotten bleacher benches and foot-boards have been replaced.  Fencing along KD has been repaired as much as we are able. Dugouts are still being de-weeded.  The concession stand is almost ready to go.  The tarps are up over the dugouts.

League starts in less than 2 weeks.  Get your bats certified soon.  We have 4 more scheduled bat testing dates on the calendar before the season begins.

The 2012 Manager’s Meeting is coming up on Wednesday, April 18th at Woodworth gymnasium at 6:30.

• Balls will be available for purchase after the meeting
