ILLEGAL BATS FOR 2010

The Fond du Lac Recreation Department and Fond du Lac Softball Inc. will again be adhering to the ASA (Amateur Softball Association) ruling regarding illegal bats for the upcoming 2010 season. We will follow the "standings" established by ASA to avoid liability in the event of injury.

CERTIFYING OF BATS:

ALL bats that will be used in Fond du Lac Recreation Department League play, playoffs, of FSI sponsored tournaments MUST be ASA certified and be registered with the league. It is yours and your managers responsibility to allow only legal bats to be used.  Bats may be certified at the Managers meeting on April 21st, or at Team Sports.

Please check the list and make sure all of your bats are legal & certified.

SOFTBALLS

FSI and the Recreation Department have decided to change the softballs that will be used for leagues, playoffs and tournaments. Softballs will be sold for $35 per dozen at the Manager's Meeting ONLY. Wednesday, April 21st at 6:30 pm at Woodworth Middle School.

After April 21st, softballs will be sold for $45 per dozen or $5 per ball, and can be purchased at the concession stand at Lakeside Park, the Recreation Department, or at Team Sports, 179 South Main Street. The new softballs being used for the 2010 season & playoffs will be the Trump yellow composite leather softball.
